In 2025, over 36,000 children in Kyrgyzstan underwent examination and treatment in short-term care units.
Among all patients, 64% were children under the age of 6, with 11% of them being infants under one year old.
The implementation of short-term stays in medical institutions significantly reduces the psychological pressure on children and their families. It also lowers the risks of hospital-acquired infections and allows for quick management of acute conditions, providing recommendations for further treatment. This approach enables more efficient allocation of budgetary resources, keeping hospitals available for providing assistance in cases of severe illnesses, according to information from the report.
