The Ministry of Health will conduct an inventory of healthcare facilities, - Minister of Health
Deputy Mederbek Chotonov expressed the opinion that reforms in the Ministry of Health should focus on building new hospitals rather than on the costly capital repairs of old buildings. In this regard, he inquired about the plans for constructing hospitals in the Talas region.
In response, Dosmambetov clarified that there are currently no plans to build a new hospital in the Talas region either this year or in the near future. He added that a maternity hospital is currently under construction and stated the need to consider the issue of building new medical facilities after the inventory is completed.
Chotonov proposed to build a new hospital in the village of Bakay-Ata, as the current building is significantly outdated. Additionally, he noted that a new hospital needs to be built in the village of Semetey.
The deputy also suggested carrying out capital repairs on hospitals in the villages of Kyzyl-Adyr and Kyzyl-Zhildyz, pointing out that these buildings were constructed during the Soviet era and are in poor condition.
According to Chotonov, some institutions do not have functioning elevators, lack necessary equipment such as vacuum systems in maternity wards and tomographs, which leads to patients with strokes and heart attacks remaining without an accurate diagnosis for extended periods. Furthermore, he highlighted the issue of the absence of refrigeration equipment in morgues.
