"In Oncology, Medicine is 'in a Coma,' - Deputy"
She emphasized that the topic of smog discussed not only touches on environmental aspects but also directly affects the health and lives of citizens.
“If in 2015, 5,000 people died from cancer, by 2025 this number could rise to 6,000. If we do not change the situation, the number of victims will continue to grow. Do we have prevention programs? In the field of oncology, essentially, our medicine is in a 'coma.' I hope for a new Minister of Health,” she noted.
Problems in this area indeed exist, and they did not arise in a short time, added the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev. According to him, the government is working on a systematic solution to these issues.
“We are setting important tasks regarding the quality of life for people in 2030 and 2050. It is necessary to improve education and pay more attention to the quality of life of citizens. Budget funds are allocated for oncology, and work is also underway in the field of nuclear medicine. The first center for nuclear medicine will be opened in Central Asia,” he reported.
Talieva added that each new Minister of Health brings hope, but over the past five years, medicine should have advanced to a higher level.
