Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva pointed out the existing problems in this area. She noted that doctors from the regions are forced to leave their workplaces to undergo training and take exams to obtain categories at the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training. However, due to limited time, many are unable to complete their training, which forces them to pay extra for finishing the courses.
Surabaldiyeva emphasized the need to reform this system and establish proper oversight from the ministry.
Aibek Matkerimov confirmed that training for obtaining categories indeed takes place at the Daniyarov Institute, where doctors acquire all the necessary knowledge and practical skills. However, the final assignment of categories is carried out through specialized associations.
“The Minister of Health and I discussed the possibility of reforming this process to make the Ministry of Health responsible for this area. Additionally, doctors who face the necessity of paying extra for training can provide us with their information, and we will consider each case individually,” Matkerimov added.
