At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Health Ryspek Sydygaliev reported on current trends in morbidity affecting both children and adults. In particular, he noted cases of pneumonia and bronchial asthma.

Sydygaliev emphasized that although the situation is not critical, official data confirms the presence of such diseases.

According to him, if we look at the statistics from 2014 to 2024, there is a noted decrease in morbidity by 29.5%. However, the problem remains relevant. Additionally, according to information from the Ministry of Health, the mortality rate during the same period increased by 42.6%.

In response to a question from a deputy about a possible connection between these diseases and smog, the deputy minister noted that it is not possible to assert a causal relationship between smog and diseases, as many factors affect health.

Nevertheless, he added that a significant portion of diseases is related to non-communicable conditions and may be linked to the ecological situation. Sydygaliev also mentioned that the development of gasification and the increase in the use of electric vehicles in Bishkek could positively impact the health of the population in the future.
