The Ministry of Health intends to strengthen support for doctors and bring specialists back from abroad
The Minister of Health, Kanbek Dosmambetov, speaking at a board meeting, emphasized the serious problems facing the country's healthcare system. Among these issues are outdated infrastructure, overloaded management processes, and staff turnover. Nevertheless, he noted that there is significant professional potential in the sector.
According to the minister, a strategic direction for the development of healthcare is the creation of a managed, modernly organized, and sustainable model that will be based on prevention, clinical management, and accountability for results. He stressed the importance of transitioning to a proactive approach aimed at preventing problems rather than just solving them. The minister also noted that the system should ensure effective functioning both in the capital and in the regions.
Kanbek Dosmambetov paid special attention to staffing issues. He reported on measures being taken to enhance the staffing potential, including increasing salaries for healthcare workers, creating housing conditions, supporting doctors in the regions, developing international training programs for specialists, and opportunities for the return of healthcare workers who have gone abroad.
The minister noted that all these changes have been made possible thanks to the active participation and support of President Sadyr Japarov, who set the task of implementing systemic reforms in the healthcare sector.
