The meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic was held, chaired by Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. The main focus was on the results of work for the year 2025 and the determination of priorities for the upcoming year 2026, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Health Kanaybek Dosmanbetov, representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh, the leadership of the Ministry of Health, and directors of medical institutions.
Edil Baisalov emphasized that the effectiveness of healthcare should be measured by real changes in the lives of patients. "We are assessed not by reports, but by how the people perceive the accessibility of medicines and doctors, as well as the functioning of equipment," he noted.
In 2025, the implementation of the program "Healthy Person - Prosperous Country" continued, as well as activities within the framework of the Agenda-2030 and Sustainable Development Goal 3. The budget of the Ministry of Health, which amounted to 52.4 billion soms in 2025, is projected to grow to at least 130 billion soms by 2030.
Among the significant achievements of the year are the construction and renovation of medical institutions, infrastructure updates, procurement of new equipment, development of digital services, and the launch of a medical campus in Bishkek by presidential decree.
During the discussion, areas requiring special attention in 2026 were highlighted, including improving maternal and child health, the efficiency of inpatient care, accounting and use of medical equipment, and ensuring uninterrupted supplies of medicines.
"Disruptions in the supply of medicines are unacceptable. In 2026, we must strive for zero disruptions, especially for critically important items," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As a result of the collegium, key priorities for 2026 were identified, aimed at improving the quality, accessibility, and safety of medical care for the population, as well as strengthening accountability and discipline among leaders.
