At the parliament meeting on January 22, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Meder Aliyev raised an important issue regarding the health of citizens in the context of a hot climate and global warming.

During the discussion of the draft law aimed at protecting labor, Aliyev noted that in recent years, summer temperatures often reach 40 degrees, which creates serious difficulties for elderly people and citizens suffering from hypertension and diabetes.

The deputy proposed to develop more comfortable working conditions for these vulnerable groups of the population, citing the experience of several countries where workers with such conditions are allowed to leave work two hours earlier — not at 6:00 PM, but at 4:00 PM.

“If I propose this, is it possible to work together with the Ministry of Labor on issues of protecting the rights and health of elderly people, hypertensives, and diabetics?” he addressed the representative of the Ministry of Labor.

Kamchybek Dosmatov, the First Deputy Minister of Labor, noted that this proposal is subject to consideration.
