Despite being on maternity leave, a young mother from the Nookat district is actively developing her farming activities by raising bulls. A correspondent from Turmush shared her observations.
Aychurok Sadyrbek kyzy, born in 1999 in the village of Jiyde, currently lives in the village of Kairagach in the same district. She is on maternity leave and is raising three children while simultaneously engaging in farming.
With a diploma from Osh State University, where she studied Russian language and literature, Aychurok believes that life is not limited to just one specialty. Her fate led her into a completely different field—farming.
She began to develop her interest in farming by helping her husband. Initially, it was just support, but soon the hobby became serious. For the past five years, she has been actively involved in this activity, and in the last six months, she has delved into animal husbandry.
One of the main factors influencing her choice of this path was her children. Instead of going abroad, the family decided to stay on their native land and earn a living from it. "We focused on raising calves. We currently have 20 heads in our farm. Caring for calves turns out to be less complicated and more stable than for other animals. We planned and built the farm complex in advance, paying attention to all the details, including waterers and feed," she explains.
Although many believe that such work is difficult for women, Aychurok demonstrates the opposite with her own example: "I am on maternity leave, taking care of the children, and at the same time successfully managing a farm. It is real," she assures.
The family raises bulls for meat, setting the selling price based on the condition of the animals. "Every labor should be valued," she notes.
The main goal is to produce high-quality and environmentally friendly meat for consumers.
Life on the farm is full of amusing moments. For instance, once when she was preparing treats for guests, two calves broke free from the barn. "I didn't even have time to change and rushed to catch them. When the guests arrived, I met them in the same state. At that moment, I was embarrassed, but now I smile remembering that incident," she shares.
In her free time, Aychurok takes care of her children, does household chores, and enjoys poetry—this is her favorite hobby.
In the future, she dreams of becoming one of the leading women farmers in Kyrgyzstan. "I want to expand my business, benefit society, and inspire other women," concludes Aychurok Sadyrbek kyzy.
