In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, she shared that this activity has become not only a hobby for her but also a true meaning of life.
“I live among my flowers, sharing joy and sorrow with them. I have more than 15 types of plants, each of which requires individual care. I buy special vitamins for them, as they need care and attention,” says Mutabar.
She also plays music for her flowers and takes care of various plants, including calla lilies, the flower "women's happiness," argesia, different varieties of lilies, and red anthurium. A special place is occupied by the calla, which has been blooming in winter on her birthday for 7 years. For these flowers, she also purchases various soils and fertilizers.
According to the florist, most of the seedlings are ordered from the capital, Bishkek, but she propagates some species herself by rooting cuttings and collecting seeds.
“Flower prices vary. The highest price is for 'ardizia,' reaching 1000 soms, but the demand for it is low, possibly due to its cost. The other plants range from 250 to 500 soms,” she explains.
Mutabar also grows an interesting flower called "Goldfish," which attracts great interest from buyers.
She has created conditions for the growth of flowers in the corridor of her home by installing a heating system and a large window to let sunlight in.
“You can successfully grow flowers even at home and earn from it. I use the money for daily expenses and food. I previously worked in Russia, and upon returning to the village, I started engaging in floriculture. Although not much time has passed, my flowers already occupy a large part of the space, and I plan to bring in new species,” she adds.
