Life in the Regions: Bektur Junushaliev Cleared Stones from the Ground at the Foot of the Mountains and Established a Garden that Attracted Visitors from Japan and China
Currently, the forum "Agrodialog - 2026" is taking place in the republic, where 46-year-old Junushaliev from the village of Chaldybar presented his experience and proposals for improving the tourism sector.
“Our orchard is located in the village of Taldy-Bulak, between two majestic mountains. I am originally from Kenjebay. When I was young and herded sheep in these places, I was always amazed by the beauty of nature, and I dreamed of growing my own orchard. At 31, I realized this dream by planting seedlings of apple trees, apricots, grapes, and other plants. This journey was not easy, as the land at the foot of the mountains was full of stones. I put a lot of effort into loosening the soil and clearing it of stones to develop horticulture.
On my plot of 2.5 hectares, Bektur grows apples of the Golden and Semerenko varieties, as well as pears, apricots, grapes, strawberries, raspberries, and other fruit crops. His work yields a high harvest. Participation in the "Agrodialog - 2026" forum was a triumph for him when he was recognized as the champion. Interest in his orchard, located in a picturesque spot, is steadily growing. Last year, he hosted guests from China, America, Germany, and Japan, who exchanged experiences and admired the beauty of nature. This has become a source of pride not only for him but for the entire country. Foreign guests not only got acquainted with the orchard but also enjoyed the beauty of Kyrgyz land,” Junushaliev added.
He also mentioned that besides growing fruits and berries, he is engaged in cultivating various flowers, creating a blooming garden in the foothills.
“I really love flowers — they are part of my nature. Every morning I water them and communicate with them. It seems they understand me. Tourists have started coming to such beautiful nature. Now I intend to focus my efforts on developing tourism,” Bektur concluded.
