In Balakchy, overdoses from "spice" led drug fighters to drug dealers

In Balakchy, on April 7, it became known about the detention of a group of criminals involved in the illegal sale of synthetic drugs, according to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.

In March 2026, law enforcement agencies recorded four cases of overdose from "spice," one of which resulted in a fatal outcome. This incident was registered under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of narcotic substances for the purpose of sale.

Officers from the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the suspect A.M.T., born in 2005. He was found in possession of 5 grams of "spice."

In Bishkek, A.K.S. and D.R.A., both born in 2003, were also arrested while attempting to sell 30 grams of synthetic drugs.

Continuing the investigation, drug police tracked down U.R.S., born in 2001. A mini-laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs was discovered in his residence, and the total weight of the seized substances amounted to 1 kilogram and 505 grams.
