In Kyrgyzstan, the number of crimes committed is decreasing

The number of crimes in Kyrgyzstan continues to decrease. This was reported by the Attorney General, Maksat Asanaliev, at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of law and order, combating crime, and corruption.

According to Asanaliev, in 2025, 34,467 crimes were registered in the country, which is 5.2 percent less than in 2024, or 1,885 cases.

Of the total number of crimes, 29,168 (or 84.6 percent) are classified as less dangerous and less serious, 4,197 (12.2 percent) as serious, and 1,102 (3.2 percent) as particularly serious.

The most common crimes are against property, which accounted for 23,572 cases (68.4 percent). This category includes: thefts – 11,239, fraud – 9,149, robberies – 619, and muggings – 90.

As for crimes against the person, 3,830 (11.1 percent) were recorded, including: murders and attempted murders – 161, rapes – 210, and causing serious bodily harm – 236.

During the investigations, 22,340 individuals involved in the commission of crimes were identified, of which 12,851 were brought to criminal responsibility.
