During the third reading at the session of the Jogorku Kenesh, the deputies discussed the bill titled "On the Exchange of Credit Information."

According to the proposed amendments, the storage periods for credit histories for citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be significantly reduced: negative information will now be stored for two years instead of five, while positive information will be stored for five years instead of seven.

These changes are aimed at simplifying access to loans for citizens, reducing the burden on the banking system, and supporting the growth of small and medium-sized businesses.

Deputy Minister of Economy Benazir Nurlanova emphasized that, taking into account the opinions of the deputies, it is proposed to shorten the storage period for negative information to two years and for positive information to five.

These amendments are intended to improve the legislation in the field of credit information and create more comfortable conditions for borrowers who previously faced difficulties due to their debt history.
