“He is likely suffering from a mental disorder, and his detention will not solve his problem,” emphasized Surabaldiyeva.
The deputy noted that over the past three decades, many reforms have been implemented, yet it remains unclear what has been done to support people with psychoneurological and mental illnesses. “The authorities responsible for these individuals must take action. Despite the constant change of leadership, the situation remains dire. This is a result of ineffective reforms in the healthcare system,” she added.
Elvira Surabaldiyeva urged members of the social committee to raise this issue at the next meeting.
