She emphasized that important documents are often handed to deputies at the last moment, which complicates their quality and can lead to mistakes. In her opinion, such haste does not contribute to the thorough development of legislative proposals.
“Documents arrive at the last moment, often on the day of the meeting. We agreed to avoid such practices if we strive for quality work. Serious problems may be hidden in such materials, and this concerns the fate of the people and important state policies,” Talieva noted.
She also urged her colleagues and government representatives to remember that the Jogorku Kenesh should not become an organization that thoughtlessly makes decisions.
“Legislative acts should not be adopted just for the sake of formality. The Jogorku Kenesh should not be a notary office reviewing unfinished materials,” the deputy added.

As a proposal to improve the situation, Kamila Talieva suggested revising the working regulations and moving committee meetings to Tuesday. In her opinion, this would give deputies time to thoroughly study the documents received on Monday.
