VTsIOM: Vladimir Putin's approval rating has fallen to a minimum since February 2022
The State All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) has presented results indicating that the approval rating of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has fallen to a historical minimum since the beginning of military actions in Ukraine. From March 19 to 22, this figure stood at 70.1 percent, which is 1.9 percent lower compared to the previous week.

Key survey results:
For comparison, even during acute crises, such as the mutiny of the Wagner Group in June 2023 or the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kursk region in August 2024, the approval rating remained at a higher level.

Experts attribute the observed decline to a number of negative factors. Political technologists working with the presidential administration point to the growing fatigue of the population from the protracted conflict and the constant rise in prices for essential goods.

Moreover, disruptions in digital infrastructure, such as the blocking of Telegram and regular mobile internet outages, have caused significant dissatisfaction among residents of major cities, reports the publication Meduza.

The fact that the decline is recorded by the state VTsIOM gives this data particular significance. A decrease in the ruling party's rating below the psychological threshold of 30 percent may prompt Kremlin officials to reconsider domestic policy or strengthen control in the digital sphere to prevent protest sentiments.
