The Kyrgyz State Agency for Public Service and Local Self-Government initiated a postponement of the deadlines related to the creation of crematoriums. It is proposed to amend the Law "On Burial and Funeral Affairs."
The agency indicated that the law already allows for the opening of crematoriums; however, at the moment, the necessary infrastructure is lacking. Additionally, it is necessary to address issues related to the financing and operation of these facilities, as well as to conduct further analysis of organizational, socio-cultural, and other aspects.
In light of the above, the agency proposed to postpone the decision and suspend the law on crematoriums until January 1, 2040.
