In Shymkent, Kazakhstan, an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council has begun.
The day before, a closed-door meeting took place, and today the heads of delegations from the EAEU countries were joined by the other participants of the meeting.
Friday marks the conclusion of the three-day visit of the Prime Minister of Russia to Kazakhstan. He arrived in Astana on Wednesday, where he held talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
As a result of the meeting, the heads of delegations are expected to participate in the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 forum.
The agenda includes issues related to deepening integration within the EAEU, improving customs administration, developing industrial cooperation and an integrated information system, as well as protecting consumer rights and analyzing the macroeconomic situation in the member states.
