The leader of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to participate in the World Council meeting. This was reported by the press secretary of the President of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Asadov.

According to him, Trump sent an official letter to Tashkent expressing appreciation for Mirziyoyev's participation in the inaugural meeting of the World Council and noted the importance of his visit to the republic.

Mirziyoyev has been invited to the upcoming World Council meeting and the G20 summit, which will take place in Miami in December 2026.

The first meeting of the World Council, initiated by the U.S., was held in Washington in February, focusing on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

On January 22, Donald Trump officially announced the establishment of the World Council during a signing ceremony at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Representatives from 19 countries participated in the signing of the document.

The creation of the World Council was the result of an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas, aimed at managing the Gaza Strip. However, its activities will also be directed at preventing and resolving conflicts in other regions.
