The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved a decision to transfer real estate received from Tajikistan as a result of territory exchanges into state ownership.
This decision was made based on the agreement concerning the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which was signed in March 2025 and ratified by the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to this document, the State Agency for Management of State Property was tasked with conducting an inventory and formalizing the acceptance and transfer of real estate objects. Subsequently, these objects will be transferred to the management of the relevant ministries, agencies, and local authorities of the Batken region.
It is worth noting that during the demarcation of the border, the list of objects may be revised in case of changes to the border line.

In addition, local authorities have been instructed to distribute the received land plots and housing among citizens of Kyrgyzstan whose property ended up on the territory of Tajikistan or was lost during the border arrangement process.
The State Agency for Land Resources has been tasked with registering property rights and conducting an inventory of land plots, while the Ministry of Construction is to develop master plans for the transferred settlements and coordinate the projects for social facilities.
The administration of the president will oversee the implementation of this resolution. The document will come into effect seven days after its official publication.
