The heads of the Jogorku Kenesh and the State Duma held talks in Moscow. What they discussed
Marlen Mamataliyev, the head of the Jogorku Kenesh, met with Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the State Duma of Russia, in Moscow. The press service of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic reported this event.

During the negotiations, issues related to strengthening cooperation in areas such as energy, transport, and agriculture were discussed. Vyacheslav Volodin noted that by the end of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries had increased by more than 25%, indicating the importance of Russia as the main economic partner of Kyrgyzstan.


Marlen Mamataliyev also emphasized the need to protect the rights of Kyrgyz citizens abroad. In particular, he proposed to expand the digital accounting project "Amina" to cover not only the Moscow region but also to include data on migrant children. The Speaker highlighted the importance of adhering to the principles of safe and legal migration in the context of Eurasian integration.

Proposals to simplify the stay of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia


The Kyrgyz delegation raised several key issues regarding the working and living conditions of migrants in Russia:
Vyacheslav Volodin noted that the trusting relationship between the presidents contributes to the active development of bilateral cooperation. After the meeting, the Speaker of the State Duma instructed the responsible agencies in Russia to promptly consider the raised issues to develop final decisions.

Issues of migration preferences continue to be at the center of discussions within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. According to the EDB, remittances from migrants play an important role in maintaining domestic demand in Kyrgyzstan. Earlier, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported instability in receipts, emphasizing the importance of creating stable conditions for Kyrgyz citizens in the Russian labor market.
