Kyrgyzstan and Belarus have defined paths for intensifying military cooperation
Negotiations took place in Minsk between the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Viktor Khrenin, and his Kyrgyz counterpart, Ruslan Mukambetov, during which new directions for deepening military cooperation between the two countries were identified. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, detailing the meeting.

The ministers discussed the current state of bilateral military interaction, which is of mutual interest to both sides. Khrenin emphasized that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus is open and characterized by a high level of dialogue.

According to Khrenin, the bilateral ties between the defense ministries and armed forces of the two countries are at a stable level and continue to develop. Within the framework of the CSTO, joint activities involving military personnel from both countries are actively taking place. In particular, joint exercises "Indestructible Brotherhood - 2026" with CSTO peacekeeping forces and special exercises "Barrier-2026" focusing on CBRN protection and medical support are scheduled for October 2026. "We look forward to the opportunity to host Kyrgyz servicemen on Belarusian soil," he added.

Ruslan Mukambetov also noted that there are strong friendly ties between the states that can be expanded and strengthened. "We are interested in further exchanging experiences between our specialists and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas," he said.
