The government of Kyrgyzstan is focusing its efforts on rapid economic development and improving the situation in the regions with the aim of reducing internal migration and creating new jobs. This was reported by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the chairman of the country's cabinet of ministers, in an interview with the Mir television and radio company.
As part of its strategy, which is aimed at 2030, the republic seeks to increase its gross domestic product to at least $30 billion, intending to actually exceed this level. As an example, he cited data from last year, when the GDP was about $22.6 billion.
The main factors contributing to economic growth, according to Kasymaliev, will be industry, construction, agriculture, and services. The authorities have planned to launch at least 100 new manufacturing and agricultural enterprises annually.

For the current year, 113 projects have already been approved, with a total investment amounting to $2.6 billion, which will create more than 12,000 jobs.

Particular attention is being paid to the development of regions, where new enterprises are opening not only in Bishkek and the Chui region but also in other parts of the country. This should help reduce the level of internal migration and prevent people from leaving their homes in search of work in large cities.
In addition, management reforms are being implemented, whereby each project will have a responsible minister, ensuring personal accountability for its implementation. A program for debureaucratization and accelerating the provision of public services under the principle of "100 days," borrowed from the practices of the United Arab Emirates, is also being launched.
According to the government, the measures taken are already beginning to yield results. Kasymaliev reminded that in 2025, Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product increased by 11 percent, and in the first months of the current year, growth was another 9 percent compared to the same period last year. As a result, more than 270,000 new jobs were created last year, and investments in fixed capital increased by 18.4 percent.
