He noted that the issue of gender equality in the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan was discussed at a recent UN meeting.
“We have taken first place in the world, and this is a source of pride. Yesterday, 31 women deputies were elected to the Jogorku Kenesh, which has strengthened our progress. It should be emphasized that 30% female representation is maintained both in the presidium and in the committees and friendship groups. This demonstrates respect and honor for women in our country,” Mamataliyev added.
