At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Ismanali Joroev expressed concern about the unsatisfactory condition of rehabilitation centers located in the Batken region.

According to Joroev, the buildings of rehabilitation institutions in Batken and Razzakov do not meet modern standards.

“In the villages of Samarkandek and Kulundu, similar centers also operate, but most of them are located in small and unsuitable premises. Meanwhile, the number of children in need of rehabilitation is increasing every year. Parents coming from remote villages are forced to wait in line, and in some cases, their children do not receive the necessary treatment. This is a serious social and medical problem,” he noted.

The deputy proposed several solutions to this situation. He pointed out that the rehabilitation center "Kulunchak" in Razzakov is located in an extremely small building and suggested transferring to it the building of the former tax authority that has become available after renovation. Joroev also highlighted the absence of a rehabilitation center in Suluktu, where about 150 children with special needs live. He proposed using the vacant building of the former tuberculosis hospital for this purpose.

In addition, Joroev noted that the rehabilitation center in Batken, which is the regional center, is also not large enough. According to him, local authorities are ready to allocate a plot of land, and it is urgent to either expand the existing institution or build a new building.
