Ambassador of Azerbaijan: These holidays remind us of peace and call for unity
On the eve of the sacred holiday of Orozо Ait (Eid al-Fitr) and the widely beloved Novruz, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kyrgyzstan organized a ceremonial reception dedicated to these significant events.

Among the honored guests were the accredited ambassadors in Bishkek from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Turkey, Pakistan, as well as representatives of Kyrgyz society, science, culture, and international organizations, including the Azerbaijani diaspora.

Latif Gandilov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, noted in his welcoming speech that this year the holidays of Orozо Ait and Novruz coincide. He emphasized the importance of Orozо Ait as one of the main holidays celebrated after the holy month of Ramadan and described Novruz as a symbol of rich spiritual heritage that connects generations and embodies renewal and hope for a new life. "Our roots go back to Tengrism, where nature is considered the Mother and God the Father. The coincidence of these holidays speaks of the joy of heavenly angels," he added.

According to the ambassador, these holidays symbolize peace, love, and unity, reminding everyone of the importance of solidarity and mutual understanding. He wished health and success to everyone and called for strengthening friendship and respect among peoples.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Abakirov, also noted in his speech that the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are based on common historical and cultural values. "We highly value the dynamic development of bilateral relations and strive to strengthen our strategic partnership," he emphasized.

The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Kyrgyzstan, Naziramad Alizoda, surprised those present by announcing the exact time of the arrival of Novruz in Kyrgyzstan — March 20 at 20:46 according to the solar calendar. He reminded that Novruz is one of the oldest holidays celebrated on the day of the spring equinox and has international recognition through UNESCO, uniting people of different nationalities and faiths.

The reception took place in a warm, almost family atmosphere, leaving guests with only positive emotions. They thanked the organizers for their hospitality and treats, which included traditional Azerbaijani dishes such as shakh-plov and lyulya-kebab.

Additionally, guests had the opportunity to try the mineral water "Istisu" from the famous Kalbajar spring, which, as the ambassador noted, has begun to arrive in Kyrgyzstan. Latif Gandilov emphasized that after 30 years of occupation, the production of "Istisu," known for its unique healing properties and popular both in Azerbaijan and beyond, has resumed in the liberated territory of Azerbaijan.

This reception, organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan, reflected the spirit of both holidays and contributed to strengthening relations among people of different nationalities and faiths. The importance of peace, friendship, and unity remains a cornerstone for all peoples.

The event was open not only to representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora but also to other nations celebrating these holidays, which was expressed in the melodies from their cultures that filled the festive evening.
