During his working trip to Osh, the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan, Nurdin Oruntaev, criticized the current state of construction work being carried out without proper project and permit support.

According to him, often the work is done without a complete set of necessary documents and without payment of the required fees. This, in the minister's opinion, is grounds for holding accountable those responsible for it.

“Kyrgyzstan is a rule-of-law state. Regardless of whether it concerns a private house, a road, or large-scale construction, every project must be supported by the appropriate documentation. Construction work can only begin after this,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Nurdin Oruntaev noted that quality and safety should remain the main priorities in the implementation of construction projects.

He cited an example of a section of road near which there are bridge structures and other infrastructure elements.

“In the event of an earthquake or other emergency, we cannot guarantee that the bridges will not collapse if the work was carried out without adhering to all necessary standards,” the minister pointed out.

Oruntaev also added that relevant agencies and department heads must be held accountable for such violations and ensure strict control over the construction process.
