The Cabinet redistributed powers for regulating foreign labor.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to amend a number of its resolutions to comply with Presidential Decree No. 268, which was signed on September 19, 2024, and concerns "measures for optimizing migration processes." The document was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

According to the new provisions, the functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration regarding the regulation of the attraction of foreign labor have been clarified.

In particular, the following new responsibilities have been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:


Furthermore, the changes also affected the provisions regarding the Ministry of Labor, from which norms related to the regulation of the attraction of foreign workers and their accounting were excluded.

Thus, there is a redistribution of functions for regulating labor migration among various state bodies as part of the optimization of migration policy.

This resolution will come into force in ten days.
