He urged the government to reduce dependence on imports
At a recent meeting in the Jogorku Kenesh, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of prioritizing domestically produced goods for the cabinet of ministers.
Deputy Aigul Karabekova raised the issue of syringe production in Kyrgyzstan, noting that the share of local producer products in government procurement remains insignificant.
The head of state noted that support for this production was provided several years ago.
“We provided them with an interest-free loan, and it seems that the enterprise was able to recover. Currently, it produces about 500,000 syringes, but only a small percentage of them are sold on the domestic market,” Japarov clarified, instructing the Minister of Health to consider further support for local producers and reducing dependence on imported goods.
“It is necessary to focus on products made in Kyrgyzstan, and this should be a task for everyone — deputies, builders, and representatives of ministries,” he added.
