Member of Parliament Calls on the Ministry of Health to Raise the Prestige of Medical Workers
He noted that healthcare employees work under difficult conditions for modest compensation and often face aggression and insults from patients.
“It is important for the Ministry of Health to work on enhancing the prestige of the medical profession. The media should convey to society the importance of respecting medical workers and their efforts,” Chotonov emphasized.
In turn, deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov added that citizens express dissatisfaction regarding the rudeness exhibited by medical staff.
“I understand that doctors can get tired, but when dealing with a patient, it is worth offering them a comfortable seat and a glass of water,” he noted.
Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev apologized to citizens for the unacceptable behavior of some doctors, recalling the words of Chinghiz Aitmatov: “The most difficult thing for a person is to remain a human every day.”
“Indeed, some medical workers disgrace our profession, and we apologize for them. We will work on improving this situation,” Mamadaliev added.
