During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva addressed Aibek Mamyraliev, head of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, asking him not to mislead regarding the stability of prices for fuel and lubricants.

She emphasized that while the State Antimonopoly Service promised that prices for certain products, including meat, would remain within established norms, this does not correspond to reality in practice.

Surabaldiyeva noted that the Association of Oil Traders predicts an increase in gasoline prices by 3 soms and questioned the reliability of this information.

In response, Mamyraliev stated that no increase in prices for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel is expected in the next two months.
He added: "All conditions are met, stocks are in place. Prices have even decreased compared to the beginning of the year."

In response to this, Surabaldiyeva advised him to keep up with the news.

She stated: "An increase in gasoline and fuel prices is expected in Kyrgyzstan. The projected increase in March will be approximately 3 soms per liter. The main factors for the price hike are global trends, rising wholesale prices in Russia, and the exhaustion of quotas for duty-free fuel imports."
"There are 90 deputies sitting here. Why mislead? It’s better to clarify the information before responding. This is reported by the press. What are you doing if you don’t hear what people are saying on the street? You should be calming not us, but the people on the street."
The head of the State Antimonopoly Service replied that he is relying on official data.

Surabaldiyeva, in turn, noted: "The State Antimonopoly Service is unable to control prices. As soon as the president and the GKNB stabilize the economy, prices will decrease on their own. You should openly inform the president about this. Let’s stop deceiving each other and calming down."
