At a meeting of the Supreme Council, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, stated that there are no longer any "curators" in the judicial system who influence court decisions.

These words were spoken in response to questions from Deputy Guli Kozhokulova, who emphasized the need for reforming the judicial system. She added that in recent years, the judicial authorities had made unfounded decisions under the pressure of certain curators from the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), as confirmed by the judges themselves, who called for an end to such influence.

Japarov also reminded that previously "curators" existed in the presidential administration, where some of them, possessing official powers, acted as judges, prosecutors, and police officers simultaneously.

“Everyone remembers names like Manas, Almambet, and others. I know everything about them. But such things will not happen anymore. I warn my employees: if you are caught in corruption, you will end up behind bars,” the president stated.

Moreover, he noted that he maintains constant contact with judges, and they inform him about pressures they face regarding the need to make certain decisions. “I immediately take measures against those who threaten,” added Sadyr Japarov.
