Sadyr Japarov postponed the launch of a large-scale student rotation for a year

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 11, President Sadyr Japarov announced that the launch of the interregional student rotation program has been postponed for one year. He reminded that this instruction was previously given in 2025 and was planned to be implemented in September 2026. However, due to the need to conduct a number of state events, the deadlines have been adjusted. This year, budget funds of Kyrgyzstan will be directed towards organizing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, the World Nomad Games, and official visits of foreign leaders, which has affected the funding of the educational project, which will begin in the next cycle.

Speaking about the significance of this program, the president emphasized that student rotation will be a logical continuation of the successful experience of personnel exchange among akims and judges. According to him, this is necessary for the final elimination of the remnants of regional division. He also expressed criticism regarding recent disputes in parliament, noting that attempts by some deputies to incite conflicts and divide society into opposing sides are unacceptable and threaten statehood. The head of state added that over the past five years, the country has managed to almost eliminate the habitual division, and there will be no return to old political methods.

The future program is planned to cover 10,000 budget places in higher educational institutions. It is expected that 5,000 students from northern regions will be sent to study in southern regions, and the same number of students from the south will move to educational institutions in the north. The president assured that funds for the implementation of this project will be allocated in the near future, and the initiative remains a priority for strengthening the unity of the people and forming a new generation of Kyrgyzstanis free from regional prejudices.
