Nine out of ten candidates for the position of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were found to be involved in corruption.
He noted that after the dismissal of the previous head of the agency, ten candidates were proposed for consideration.
“However, nine of them have been found to have corruption cases. Is there really no worthy and clean specialists left in the civil service? We struggled to find a suitable candidate,” the president said.
Previously, Urmatbek Shamyrkanov was relieved of his duties as Minister of Emergency Situations.
