At the iftar with foreign ambassadors in Ankara, held during the holy month of Ramadan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized the need for a new negotiation process to resolve the crisis surrounding Iran. This was reported by the TRT Haber channel.
Erdoğan stated: “For every problem threatening the stability of the region and our future, there is an acceptable solution. The war must end as soon as possible, and a new negotiation process is possible.”
He also noted that “the negative consequences of new conflicts will affect not only the parties involved but the entire region, including Europe and Asia.”

The Turkish leader added: “We cannot allow the Middle East to once again be on the brink of disaster, as it was a hundred years ago. I emphasize that the war in our region must end as soon as possible to prevent its further spread.”

The situation escalated on February 28, when the United States and Israel began military actions against Iran, striking key cities in the country, including Tehran. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps initiated a large-scale retaliatory operation, attacking Israeli targets as well as U.S. positions in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. As a result of these strikes, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, along with several high-ranking officials.
