He noted that many people still fall victim to fraudsters. In this regard, Bekeshev has developed a draft law aimed at introducing such a ban.
“Even if the restriction is lifted, there is a so-called 'cooling-off period' of 24 hours during which citizens will not be able to sell their apartment but will be able to consult with relatives or lawyers. Currently, fraudsters are pressuring and rushing people, which leads to negative consequences,” the deputy added.
Earlier, media reports emerged about cases where retirees, under pressure from scammers, sold their apartments and handed over the proceeds to the fraudsters.
Police officials urge citizens to be vigilant and cautious. They remind that employees of law enforcement agencies, banks, and government institutions never require the transfer of funds to bank cards or the disclosure of personal banking information.
In case of receiving such calls or messages, citizens are advised to immediately terminate the conversation and contact the nearest police station or call the number 102.
