The service of border guards in high-altitude areas and Batken will be counted one month for two.
The decree contains the approval of a new regulation on the State Border Service, as well as its management structure.
One of the key aspects is the change in the accounting of service for military personnel, which will affect the assignment of pensions and the calculation of seniority bonuses. In particular, one month of service will be credited as one and a half months.
For military personnel serving at altitudes above 1,800 meters above sea level, as well as for those in units located in the Batken region, one month of service will be counted as two months.
The document also states that the procedure for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, both operational-tactical and strategic, in the Border Service will be established by a separate presidential decision.
Furthermore, it is clarified that the State Border Service is the legal successor of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security.
The Border Service and the GKNB have been tasked with completing the transfer of personnel, documents, buildings, structures, material and technical resources, and other property within two months.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been assigned to resolve organizational and financial issues related to the implementation of this decree, as well as to align its decisions with it.
The decree came into force on February 10, 2026.
