Donald Trump called Vladimir Putin: what they discussed
Russian President's assistant Yuri Ushakov informed journalists that the conversation lasted about an hour and touched on, in particular, the conflict in the Middle East, as well as the situation regarding negotiations on Ukraine.
He noted that the presidents had a "substantive and useful" exchange of views on issues related to Iran.
Vladimir Putin expressed his proposals aimed at the swift political and diplomatic resolution of the Iranian conflict, and also positively assessed the mediating actions of the United States and Trump's role in resolving the situation in Ukraine, Ushakov added.
In addition, Trump shared his opinion on the developments within the current U.S.-Israeli operation.
It is worth noting that since February 28, the United States and Israel have been conducting an operation called "Lion's Roar," aimed against Iran. In response, Tehran began striking territories of neighboring countries where American military bases are located.
