Kanybek Adiev has been relieved of his duties as mayor of Karakol

According to information from the president's press service, Kanybek Adiev is no longer the mayor of the city of Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region.

He has been replaced by Talantbek Imanov.

Talantbek Imanov, born on December 5, 1986, in the village of Uch-Kainar (Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region), is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn. From 2005 to 2008, he served as a platoon sergeant in the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan.

As for his career, it includes the following stages:

2008-2010 — worked in the security service of OJSC TNK "Dastan";

2010-2011 — head of the technological transport section at LLC "Gazprom Neft Asia";

2011-2014 — deputy director for regime at OJSC "Ulan";

2014-2017 — general director of JSC "Polygon";

2018-2020 — general director of OJSC "Ulan" and also director of development at OJSC TNK "Dastan" concurrently;

Since March 2020 — chairman of the board of OJSC TNK "Dastan";

Since April 2025 — special representative of the president for special assignments.
