Sultan Akmatov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, noted that membership in this organization will allow the country to receive qualified legal support in case of trade disputes on the international stage. The Advisory Center, established in 2001, includes 97 countries and focuses on protecting the interests of developing states within the WTO.
With the help of this mechanism, we will be able to resolve emerging trade disputes and receive expert assistance to protect our rights.

The Deputy Minister also explained that to join, a one-time contribution is required, the amount of which is determined based on the level of economic development of the country. Kyrgyzstan is classified in category "C," which means the contribution will amount to 43,000 Swiss francs (approximately 4.8 million soms). However, the actual payment for Kyrgyzstan will be made by Norway as part of its support program.
During the discussion, the deputies also inquired whether membership in the center would help eliminate trade barriers for Kyrgyz goods supplied to Kazakhstan and Russia. A representative of the Ministry of Economy confirmed that this will be possible.
It should be noted that Kyrgyzstan was the first state among the CIS countries to become a member of the World Trade Organization, which occurred on December 20, 1998.
