Wang Yi rejected the concept of joint world governance by China and the USA

On March 8 in Beijing, at a press conference during the session of the National People's Congress, China's Foreign Minister and member of the Politburo of the CPC Wang Yi stated that the country is distancing itself from the idea of forming a "big two," focusing its efforts on multipolarity.

As Wang Yi noted, it is necessary for all 190 countries in the world to jointly write history, rather than a limited circle of great powers.

He emphasized: "China will not follow the path of hegemony, as other countries do, and will not accept the logic of 'great power joint governance.' Regardless of changes in the international situation and its level of development, China will never seek hegemony or expansion."

As an alternative, Wang Yi proposed the concept of an equal and orderly multipolar world, where adherence to the UN Charter will be mandatory for all countries, and great powers must demonstrate respect for international laws and serve as an example for others.
