At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on science, education, and culture, Deputy Saltanat Amanova reported that religious literature accounts for 60 to 70 percent of all books published in Kyrgyzstan.

She emphasized the importance of thoroughly checking the content of these publications and raised the question of whether they comply with the principles of traditional Islam or contain information that requires deeper analysis.

In addition, Saltanat Amanova highlighted the importance of creating and strengthening the role of a national printing house in the country.

Currently, all printing houses are private, and it is necessary to establish a national printing house that could control and monitor the work of private publishers.
