At a meeting of the committee on agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Altynbek Kylychbaev proposed to allow investors to engage in the processing of waste generated from gold mining.

He reported that he was approached by the company "Asia Gold Service," which expresses a desire to create a plant in Kyrgyzstan for processing such waste.

“Today, Kyrgyzstan does not have the necessary technologies for processing. However, the company is ready to provide equipment and train local specialists. This could have a significant impact on the development of our country, especially considering that the cost of the equipment is quite affordable. The country has accumulated over 100 tons of waste, and investors are ready to invest funds. We need to support such initiatives,” emphasized Kylychbaev.

Amantur Tursuniyazov, head of the Kyrgyz Geological Service and deputy minister of natural resources, ecology, and technical supervision, added that each gold mining factory uses its own technologies for dealing with waste.

“Investors should contact us to discuss production aspects,” he noted.
