The population of snow leopards in Kyrgyzstan has exceeded 550 individuals
She noted that this species has been officially recognized as the national symbol of the country, which was further complemented by the approval of a logo and rules for its use.
In addition, a National Action Plan for the Conservation of the Snow Leopard has been developed in Kyrgyzstan, which will be in effect until 2030, and an ecological corridor named "Ak Ilbirs" has also been established.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the measures taken have contributed to the increase in the population of snow leopards in the republic.
