Recently, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev announced the upcoming discussion of several bills in the Jogorku Kenesh through his Telegram channel. He announced the upcoming parliamentary sessions.

As part of the second reading, parliamentarians intend to consider amendments to the Constitutional Law on the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic. This initiative proposes to reduce the number of auditors from 9 to 3 people.

Dastan Bekeshev characterized this initiative as necessary, adding that he raised the issue of the need to reduce the number of auditors several years ago.

“I fully support this proposal. Since 2017, I have pointed out that the Accounts Chamber has become a staffing base for political parties, and reducing the number of auditors would be justified. The President himself proposed this initiative,” noted the deputy.

At the same time, Bekeshev opposed reducing the composition of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic from 12 to 8 members.

He believes that saving funds by reducing the number of members of the CEC is the wrong step.

“You cannot save here,” he emphasized.

In addition, the deputy added that soon the parliament will need to make changes to a number of laws. He continues to inform his subscribers about the upcoming amendments through his Telegram channel.
