Indonesia has become the first country to threaten to withdraw from the 'World Council'
Indonesia has become the first nation to express its intention to withdraw from the World Council, established at the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump. In an official statement, the country's authorities emphasized that Jakarta may leave this body if it proves unhelpful and does not align with the interests of the state.

Retno Marsudi, the Indonesian Foreign Minister, stated that negotiations regarding the situation in Gaza have been suspended due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, where Indonesia plays a significant role by providing its troops.

“All discussions have been halted as attention is focused on events in Iran. We intend to consult with our partners in the Persian Gulf, who are also under attack,” he added.

Indonesia is already preparing 1,000 of its military personnel for possible deployment in the Gaza Strip by early April as part of planned multinational peacekeeping forces.

The decision regarding a potential withdrawal from the international World Council has become relevant for Indonesia following the start of the U.S. and Israel's military operation against Iran, as mentioned by the chairman of the People's Consultative Congress, Ahmad Muzani.
