The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree introducing a new monthly benefit for children under the age of three. This was reported by the president's press service.
According to the new regulation, starting from July 1, 2026, the benefit called "Bala Irysy" will be paid to all children under three years old, regardless of their families' financial situation. The amount of the payment will be 1200 soms per month.
The presidential administration noted that this decision was made in response to numerous requests from citizens and is aimed at supporting families during an important period of child development.
President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that he often receives complaints about the complicated bureaucratic procedures associated with obtaining state benefits.
Many mothers face refusals and lengthy checks, despite the need for state support, he noted.
The president stressed that special care should be given to families with young children, as the foundations of physical and mental development are laid in the early years of life.
In connection with this decree, the president instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop a corresponding mechanism for implementing the new "Bala Irysy" benefit.
He also added that the state must provide support to children even in situations where there is a risk of abuse.
According to him, it is better to pay a few extra benefits to those who are not in dire need than to leave even one child who truly needs help without assistance.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized that all measures being taken are aimed at ensuring that no child in the country is left without attention.
This social support measure is expected to help reduce the level of child poverty and guarantee assistance to families with young children.
According to the National Statistical Committee, there are approximately 445,000 children under the age of three living in Kyrgyzstan.
