At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, its chairman Marlen Mamataliyev called on journalists and bloggers. He emphasized the importance of preventing the spread of false information about the activities of the parliament.

Mamataliyev noted that so-called "black lists" of deputies who allegedly may leave their positions have begun to appear in the media.

“We act in accordance with the law, and I strongly urge you not to publish unreliable information,” he added.

It is worth noting that earlier, a number of Kyrgyz-language media outlets and social platforms published the names of deputies who, according to information, may leave the Jogorku Kenesh following a scandal related to the appeal of 75 signatories regarding the need for early presidential elections.
