“We are currently discussing a number of ideas with regional players that can be implemented in practice. I will not go into details as discussions are ongoing,” he noted in a conversation with journalists.

According to Fidan, convincing arguments are necessary to bring the parties back to the negotiating table.

“I hope that the new leadership of Iran will be able to adequately assess the current situation and find ways to resume dialogue,” the minister added.

Additionally, earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, during which the situation in the Middle East was discussed.

“Both NATO agenda issues and regional and global events were discussed. The president emphasized that Turkey is closely monitoring the developments of the conflict in our region and that giving diplomacy a chance is essential for achieving sustainable peace,” Erdoğan's press service reported.

We remind you that the escalation of tension in the Middle East has been ongoing for the fifth day as a result of the military operation by Israel and the USA, named “Lion's Roar.” US President Donald Trump stated that military actions will continue until all set goals are achieved.
